Galveston Island

Postby kpdoucette on Mon Jun 11, 2007 6:11 am

I took two weeks off from work to help my older son move to Galveston Island. I'm happy to say I was barefoot every minute I was there, never had any employees at any business say anything to me. I even had dinner at The Spot on the Seawall even though they have a NSNSNS sign.

Only one person said anything to me, some old woman in a grocery store. She remarked "You're not wearing shoes!"

To which I replied "And you're not wearing gloves!"

I doubt she got it.

I'm back in Colorado now and I'm happy to say, I haven't had anything on my feet since I got off work the morning of 01JUN07. Tomorrow I'm taking my younger son camping up in the mountains. I'll have a pair of Teva's hanging on my fanny pack but I doubt I'll wear them, at least I hope not to.

We'll be up along the Laramie River in the Rawah Wilderness and we'll do some day hiking. Barefoot, of course!
