Hot and Cold Running Water at Glen Helen

Postby barefootgreg on Sun Jan 11, 2009 1:40 am

Glen Helen is in the middle of Yellow Springs, Ohio. Named for the sulferous spings that empty into the creek at Glen Helen. The creek has "hot and cold running water". The sun heats the creek bed making the water very warm. The numerous springs dump cold water into the creek. The warm and cold water don't mix immediately. You can have one foot in warm water and the other foot in cold water when wading in the stream.
