Barefooting Bulletin Board

For those among us who believe most people support bare feet, check out this thread on another forum Shoddy thinking I don't recall any objectionable material in it, but it definitely shows that we are a very small minority. Even the people who post that they do go barefoot are quick to point out that they only do so in "appropriate" places.

Go ahead, rant, I agree completely. I especially like your point about "lazy thinking" since that is my single biggest pet peeve.

The line that got me was the woman who wondered "if they wash their feet before they go to bed". That was easliy the laziest bit of thinking I've seen in a long time. Does she think barefooters never bathe? Even if I didn't deliberately scrub the soles of my feet in the shower they will still get relatively clean just being exposed to the soapy water.

The problem we face is that these people are managers and store owners. Not all of them, but some of them. If you look at the proportion of "ewww" posts in that thread you can easily see that we face an uphill battle. If you follow the link in the very first post you will see even more of the same attitude, although it is somewhat more subtle. They have 46 pictures of various Hollywood types walking barefoot in public. The captions with the photos are less than complimentary.
